[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I've been wondering what to do with this picture since I took it some time ago. Helen's theme of Fingers and Toes has provided the perfect opportunity to post it.

This was part of an exhibition of outdoor sculptures at Stourhead Gardens, an extensive National Trust estate in Wiltshire.

Made of glass fibre, with a top surface of tabloid newspaper, this is one of a pair of hands arranged so that they pointed down a long grassy avenue, towards Stourhead House itself.

I'm afraid I can't remember the name of the sculptor.

Shot in JPEG: PP in PS 7 and FastStone.

Hi Peter,
It just goes to show, it'll always come in handy one day.
I like you POV, a nice clean background for the protruding finger, well seen.
Cheers,
Pete.

Good choice for this week's theme Peter. Like the composition, with the finger pointing off shot.

Cheers
HM

Hello Peter,

A very unusual sculpture but, as you say, perfect for the theme! You have composed it with good perception, so the index finger creates a diagonal.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi,
Good chosen for the theme, this is a very interesting sculpture

HI Peter
WE do tend to photograph unsual stuff but it always comes in handy.
Well composed and sharp against the background, its a very good shot and great for the theme.
