Good morning peeps

Hey look no framing!

This is the second in a short series of images I took at our local country park this weekend that give me a feeling of calm and relaxation.

As mentioned above I decided not to frame this shot as I wanted to post the image as large as possible and in addition I just didn't feel this one needed it.

We have always called the concrete building on the left a boathouse but to be honest I have no idea what it is and I am certain it has nothing to do with boats as its not enclosed in anyway. It has on occasion been used as a place for the local youth to gather on warm summer evening which is evidenced by the delightful artwork on the wall. I have to say though that for my image the red (artwork) does give an added dimension and whilst I dislike graffiti in this instance the colour is not a bad thing.

Well my friends it seems there is a possibility my house sale might be back on again, so much cleaning and tidying to do today for a possible viewing tomorrow.

We also have an agricultural show of some kind at the local country park so I will be taking a wander there with the rebel and see if I can get some different shots of the machinery (makes a chnage from flowers and pets)

TTFN and I hope you all have a superb weekend

kind regards Smurfie

Haiya Smurfie,
Indeed sit and relax, well I do particular when looking at this peaceful image. The brightness and contrast are spot on in this image. The little rimples on the water makes it an attractive picture in my opinion. A well balanced composition too. Take care and have a great weekend!

Have a nice day :)

Hello Helen,

This is a change from the norm but is well worth the experimentation.
It is sharp, detailed and perfectly composed. I particularly like the water with its contrast of smoothness, ripples and reflections.

kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Helen,
Nice and peaceful alright, calm, but just enough ripple on the water to give the pic 'life'.
I would think the concrete building controls the lake's water level.
I'll definitely check out DooDarz.
Pete.

Hi Helen, nice view, good colors details and sharpen. great shot

Hi Helen,

Nice, relaxing composition, love the ripples on the water and the smooth surface further on in the BG - I only wonder what would have happened if you use like F18 here.
I now make a few pictures from one scene with different settings, sothat at home I can compare what works best.
