[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello Everyone,

A few weeks ago I went to picturesque Hebden bridge with some friends. We ventured along the canal bank which is always pretty and peaceful, especially on a sunny afternoon.

As we arrived, we noticed these three, large geese waddling along the cobbles near the tow path. The one at the front was obviously in charge ... or thought he was! He kept turning around to encourage the others to follow him but they were finding the heat a little oppresive and just wanted to rest.

We were entertained by them for several minutes so I just had to get the camera out and record the fowl version of 'Follow My Leader'!

Many thanks for stopping by.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph.

Hi Bev,
I am also easily entertained by geese. The three are well presented, details and contrast on their feet are prominent, and framing is effective. Best regards, Danilo

Cute cute!! And did you see the lovely photo Silke posted of you today? What a doll you are! This is a nice shot, adorable and the framing is perfect! A teenie bit of OE on the white feathers, but white is murder to shoot!

Hello Bev

As can be expected - a very nice presentation and perfect photography of the white geese. Excellent colour and I like how you caught them with heads together as if deciding on the mode of action. Very well done!

Hi Bev,
There does seem to be a difference of opinion here but I saw some nature show that these birds usually go with the majority opinion.
Lovely contrast to their fluffy detailed down and their orange beaks and landing gear. Very tastefully framed image.
Regards, Tom

Hi Bev,

Yes indeed; after reading your note and then again looking at the picture, it seems that he is the leader.
Like the way the leader already walked out of the frame.

hello Bev,
a well balanced composition and well framed too.The orange feet and beaks are spaced so that they balance the compo perfectly and are a good contrast with the black frame. They look fine fellows (or fellowesses) too. I used to keep geese years ago and have aone or two funny stories about them.

Good morning Bev,
