Hi Silke - there are a lot of things I like here, the natural feel being the main one, I think. The pose looks relaxed, I'm glad Bev isn't looking directly at the camera and there is good sharpness on her and the colours also have a natural feel.

My only slight issue is the f11 as Bev fdoesn't stand out from the background enough, in my view. I'm no expert but I tend to prefer portraits of this style when the background is more out of focus.

We need Rew to critique here :-)

I have just returned from a trip to Yorkshire, switched on my computer (a must before I take off my coat), looked at my critiques and there is Linda (Shelbeesmom) saying have you seen the shot of yourself! Well, what can I say! I'm thrilled and I'm very flattered that you thought to post a shot of 'yours-truly'. I sincerely hope that all your critiques refer to competency of the photograper and do not detract from the quality of the model!

This is a great portrait and composition of your friend showing good facial expression. Using a bigger aperture of say f2.8, you could have bur the background.

Hello Silken,

Very British mood, with the surroundings, houses , stone walls and greens. Wonderful smile and skin details under the sunlight. Great to see Bev in such a beautiful way . Thanks ladies for posting this one.
