Hi Martin,
Excellent portrait. you have done really good job. the choice of B&W medium is great.

So sharp portrait !! and I like the way the light is on his face : the shadows adds a lot of mystery for this picture.
Great work :)

hello Martin,
remarkable portrait. Your Stephen portraits are all very good. But who is he? you have me intriqued. The setting seems to be a church. His he a religious man, or in neeed of religious comfort? I understand that portraits can stan on their own but I like the bakc story. Why be mysterious?

Sorry I haven't been around - in the Philippines at the moment trying my hand at street photography (and trying not to get my camera snatched) in the poor parts of Manila.
Terrific shot. Absolutely perfect light and good composition, there is just the right amount of room for his contemplative/sullen sideways stare. Great details and textures. I love the bunching of his suit, even without more context we can see that he's slumped in his seat.
Inspiring.

Now there's a face with character! What a wonderful chap to have as a model. The lined face and the expression are a photographer's delight and you have exploited both very well indeed.
I also like the three-piece suit and the tie, as well as the hairstyle - hallmarks of his generation, I think.
Excellent character portrait.
Jezus your photography rocks!
I like this one very much, good bw work but I still like the first one the most.
