An unopened Iris, I think I'm really not sure, I was going to wait until it opened, but I like the structure.

Anyway if it's not an Iris I am sorry to all those gardeners out there.

Thanks
Gil

Hi Gil

The repetitive red buds contrast well against the green bg. The diagonal adds dynamism. Good dof & tfs!

You have some really nice flower pics in your gallery Gil! I love your work on these! Nice DOF very nice line leading your eye across the pic! Nice colors too!

Hi Gil
Iris is one of the best both for its scent and looks. I like the diagonal POV and the colors as well as the focus-out of focus play

Hello my friend...

Beautiful and wonderful other show!
I see a lot of lightness in this picture, the colors are
light and delicate. The formation of this pennant is
very beautiful, and he has a beautiful fall.
Love the color contrast, light and composition.
Congratulations Gil

P.S. It is not an iris though -- not quite sure what it is, suspect it is a member of the lily family

HI Gil
This looks quite effective against this dark green background.
Could be used for symmetry, you captured well this unopened flower.

I think Sue is correct with her naming it a crocosmia Gil. Lovely focus and nicely composed with just enough blur in the background.

Hi Gil,
I'm definitely not a gardener, but I recognise a good flower image.
I like your composition, and the shallow depth of focus. A nice pattern image, I like it.
Pete.

Hi Gil,
An attractive macro. The flower is well presented with sumptuous background, vivid colors, and good DOF. Best regards, Danilo
