Another shot of the competitive axemen, this time demonstrating the use of a 2 man hand saw. Although we consider chainsaws to be a massive step forward, when they first came out they were more of a hazard than a help - safety clothing was unheard of, accidents regular and the vibration from the saws caused all sorts of repetive injuries. This type of saw, when used by people who know their thing, are hellishly effective: these guys got through an 11inch diameter log in less than 8 seconds!

Wow! Eight seconds, That is impressive. They must be the "sprinters" of the competition.
Action well captured and composed. The sawdust gives as sense of action.

Dan

Hi
It is nice dinamic shot. Good colouresand sharp. One thing, right foot of man is out of cadre.
regards

Cool!
I really like the "games" you play up there!!! hhaahahahah so much better than cycling or swimming... this is what real men do, right?

What I particularly like about this shot is the fact that the legs of the men are about the same position as the legs of the support for the log...
And then of course it's always nice to see a man work hard.... ;-)

Cheers!
Anneke

Hello, Mark.

Whoa!

Eight seconds! Now, that's impressive!

I think the chap at the back is the same fellow who was wielding an axe in you last posting. Probably taking a well-deserved rest.

As Anneke says, yes, this is real man's stuff. None of your cissy girlie things here.

A nice picture, full of energy, action and dynamism. Very well taken. I wasn't sure if just a tad of sharpening might help, so I've done a wee workshop - just simply sharpening a little. See what you think.

Best Wishes,

John.

P.S. I shouldn't worry about the fact that the right foot of the guy on the right is just out of the picture - I didn't notice it until it was pointed out and I don't think it detracts at all from the main theme.
