[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A lone tree sits atop the side of a hill. Spotted this tree, not far from where we were staying, and couldn't resist firing off a few shots.
Not much PP done, just cropped/resized, and some level adjustments.
Posted an alternative version to the workshop - just a slightly different crop, as I didn't know which would be best.
Cheers
HM

i just love that tree against that vibrant sky, not sure about it being the best pov maybe too much sky, but well worth the points.

Olá Graham
Eu gosto mais do workshop potque a árvore ficou menos cenrtralizada.
Boas cores, niridez e contraste.

Stunning blue sky... last time I saw a sky that blue was over the Trossachs.....very good image, I like the perspective and the way the slope climbs up towards the tree... nice un!!

Hello Graham,

Amazing blue sky, sadly lt disappeared at weekend!
The curve of the grass around the rocky outcrop make a nice lead-in line towards the focal point of the tree.

After studying the two shot, I do prefer the on in the w/s which gives more emphasis to your focal point and draws more significance from the detail of the rocks.
I still rate this shot, however.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)
Many thanks for your warm comments on 'A quiet corner ...'

nice capture HM NICELY COMPOSED AND GOOD COLOURS

Hi G
Wow - nice shot - interesting composition with the slanting hill yet the tree is so straight. The blue of the sky is really strong and provides a lovely bg. Are you sure this was in Bonnie Scotland??? LOL!
Cheers

Hi Graham
Good spot. Good colour. Good Blue Sky. I like your workshop version best. In the original the Tree is too central. TFS.
Mike

Great colours. and lines. I definitely like this composition better than the one in the workshop - the "empty" blue space of sky is striking!
