Hello Everyone,

The weekend was very busy for me but a bit of a disappointment! It was the weekend for our village's Flower and Scarecrow Festival. Unfortunately, it rained for most of the weekend so the usual crowds did not materialise!

On a happier note, it was my husband's birthday so we went to Manchester and were treated to a wonderful meal by our children.

A quick chance to share with you this idyllic scene. It was taken along the canal bank at Hebden Bridge. I just loved how the surrounding trees made it very secretive, and the smoothness of the canal made wonderful reflections

Many thanks for stopping by.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph.

Hi Bev,
Nice frame made by the trees and nice framing (PPwork). I like to see the reflection of this old builbuig in the water and the details of the brick .

Hi Bev
Like the trees framing the building, which leads you into the doorway. Nicely done, and love the reflection in the water

Cheers
HM

Hello Beverley,
I like your choice of the tree foliage to frame the scene. The reflection is so well defined that I thought it was an extension of the building. Best regards, Danilo

Hello Bev !

Funny post in a way . I would be worried , if they offer me to exit through the back door (^_^).

Ilike the way you frmaed your shot naturally with these trees and the perfect focus on the building. Well done.

Robert

PS . Your husband is cancer just like me. He has to be a good guy (^_^). I was born on the 2nd of 1958. Yep I am now a quinquagenarian. Geeeeeee , I feel like Yesterday , I was just a little boy ( See my intro page LOL !)

Quiet corners are always the best and you have chosen the best POV to create a natural frame by the trees.
Hi Bev,

Always disappointing when rain spoils a day out. Here it also started to rain quite a lot, now our only worry is the wedding of my niece Micky at the Naval Base in Den Helder in 3 days....

TFS this lovely place with great reflections.

Hello Bev

What an idyllic capture here, so serene and peaceful, excellent use of the trees for natural framing too.

I was so very lucky with the weather Saturday but I am sorry to hear your function was a bit washed out.

TFS regards Helen

Hi Bev
The reflection is outstanding and I like how you masterfuly made use of the trees not only to give atmosphere to the composition but also to frame the picture. Very well done

hi Beverley, nice shot of the canal through all the trees , nice composition showing the full reflection of the door. As a minor comment, i think the door is too centered but maybe i notice it just because it is bright white and contrasts with the rest.

Not a ripple in the water, looks very peaceful Bev,I like your inclusion of a natural frame, made me focus right to the reflection. Is the building an apartment building or offices?
One would need to be careful exiting that door, looks pretty close to the canal:)
