This was a bit of an experiment. I was playing with the patterns made by the bull’s eye window, when a tenant in the house conveniently started looking out of his window. What had caught his eye, I don’t know, but I thought it made an interesting visual pun.

Tech: Captured in raw, adjusted levels, colours and contrasts in raw, converted to jpg, adjusted highlights and shadows, cropped slightly for perspective and then cropped out a portion of the lower storey, resized, sharpened, framed and signed

Thanks for looking and for all your critiques, workshops and suggestions. Have a snap-happy weekend.

Well the thumbnail is a real eye-catcher, reminds me of an Alfred Hitchcock Thriller, would make a good movie poster for “The Man in the Crosshairs”….or “Bullseye” Really nice clarity on this one too! The panes just make it that much more interesting, love the guy in the window!

ha, superb capture in a superb compo !

thanks,
v

At first I thought this was a reflection of a window in water with a 'splash' in the puddle, but its actually the glass, isnt it? Thats cool.

Yeah, I like this photo, the glass is very interesting and the building is awesome. You gotta love the ancient architecture in England.

Good capture.

Hi Silke,
This is a most interesting piece of glass. I've never seen anything like it. Maybe I should get out more. I like this shot showing the detail of the window and the building across the street. Your right about the man looking out the window, it makes this that much more interesting. Nice work Silke.
Regards,
Kevin

Hi Silke,
This inclusion works nicely in the image! At the first sight, I thought that it was a decorative glass! Original and creatice idea!
The view through the window is really good with this man looking at the street and the small logo in the left side on the top. I like these sepia tints against the soft blue sky! Bravo! Annie

Hi Silke,
Briliant! Well seen a good expiriment. Tha man looking out the window, the blurred circles all fine and nice details. All together well framed.

Hi Silke,

This is a neat shot of the window pane. I've never seen anything like it. The man looking out of his window adds a lot. I'm glad he made a guest appearance in your photo! Nice repetition of all the frames throughout the photo.

Lisa

Very curious scene you have captured here Silke.
Like a screen grab from a movie. The presence of the tenant
adds a new level to the image, a sort of drama.
I like it. Well done.

A really effective image---really well seen Silke and well caught-you were lucky to have the fellow pop his head out of the window, but maybe not just lucky, I firmly believe if you hang around long enough and have patience, somethings always happens to give you a great image--Lynne

Hello Silke,

This is a wonderful 'experiment'!
Just looking through a window gives a shot more interest ... it's sort of secretive!
And, the appearance of the man accentuates that feeling!
Love the angle and the shapes.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)
