Good morning Peeps

Back to the Hollowell Steam and Shire rally this morning.

These two lovely harnessed shires were pulling this gentleman around the arena on this contraption which had runners rather than wheels. Used in the field to collect up bales of hay. So sorry I don't know what its actually called and I have learned a valueable lesson here. Next time I visit a show such as this I will take a note book and jot down details given by the commentator so I can actually learn a bit more about what I am Photographing.

Again I was sat on the floor which gives a really superb POV and emphasises the height and power of these lovely animals

Image framed with a drop shadow, then a white frame then an edge blurr infill in Photofiltre.

Have a great day peeps.

Helen:
I think you have mastered this stop action capture, and its DOF is improved:)
The faces are lit with full of emotions...and I like the space before the horses to have them move into that direction!!!!
Superb!!!!!
David

hello Helen,
A wonderful action shot of these working shires. it is great to see the heavy horses. In Northern Ireland there are also still competitions every year. Many teams are invited over from the UK, Wales and Scotland.
A great POV with such good colour and detail.
Well captured.
Joni

Hi Helen
perfect capture of the scene.
fantastic dark colors and clarity of the horses.
nice blurred soft colors at the background.

Yes, sitting on the ground makes these horses look HUGE as they really are! Nice work on this one Helen, love the action in this shot, the guy precariously perched on the bales is funny! Nice work!

Very fine capture, superbly composed and with good details. I think it might have been just a tiny bit better with a little more colour saturation (your eyes are dimmed by the desat project perhaps?) and/or a little more contrast
