Good image and a good PP work, I like the way you are thinking to this, there is a lot of potential for a series of similar images, it sort of enhances the main object of interest.
P/S/... they go great with a nice wine sauce and fresh vegetables...mmmm... yummee!!!

Hi Bev
Good strong composition and as you say in your notes the desaturation really helps the pheasant stand out from its background. Nice neat frame to finish

Nicely carried out Bev, the colours certainly do stand out. I love the irradescent colouring in any breed of pheasant, well cropped and presented. Although some down here breed these birds I have actually seen them in the wild too, obviously escapees from the early English settlers.

Hello Beverley,
The bird's feather is sharp and attractive. I showed this photo to an eight-year old neighbor who has a pheasant for a pet. He said he's never seen anything like it before, and of course he was referring to selective desaturation. Well done. I hope you have a good week. Danilo

Hi Bev,
Joseph is seen in marvelous detail and striking sharpness against the b&w ground.
Dolly Parden wrote a lovely song "Coat of Many Colors" which comes to mind seeing this lovely image.

Hello Bev,
The desaturation really brings out the iridescent quality of the pheasies feathers. He is a handsome fellow.Does he visit your place looking for food? I fed pheasies for years. I had one bold fellow who used to rap on the back door and demand to be fed!
Great detail. very effextive.
Have a good weekend.
