Hi Brian,
a good self portrait. I like the dark tones and I even like the expression on your face.
And thanks for the note as it gives me new ideas how to deal with portraits to make them look better.
Thanks for sharing.
Regards,
Britta

****SCRRREAAAMM*** HAHAHA!... You know you might need that dude with that gun, but you are scaring the women folk! But you are quite a handsome dude even without smiling, the ladies who also have guns swarm around you eh?
Nice exposure, love how half your face is showing, and the other "HALF" of you is really nice and smiling.....RIGHT??????????

Evening!
Good portrait Brian. Great use of lighting, giving the image lots of mood, just the way I'd imagine cowboys to be. And the pose... excellent. Good you've got your face off to one side, and not too central.
Braver than me, no way hose I'm getting in front of the lens anytime soon (need a w/angle for my lugs lol)
Cheers

HEllo Brian!
What a candid portrait from you . Thanks for breaking up the ice. You certainly look very shy here (^_^).
Technically , I love honestly your expresssion. I like these low light portrait. I think howver , a tad more brightness , to reveal at the contour of your cap and shoulder on the right side, would have made it even better .
Since, it will be the only one, i am adding it in my MALE Members auto-portraits .
Cheers!

This really is very well done. Fairly rare to see self-portraits that are not obviously so. Well composed with good lighting and the expression worke with the clothing, hat and pp work. This really is very good, you should be pleased with this.

Hi big Scottish fellah,
Hard to say but is a wonderful portrait (you know normally I not such a "lover" of male portraits :-)
Anyway the light here, or the lack of light, creates a superb mood and so a superb posrtrait. Also the of centre is important symetrical portraits are boring and this one is very interesting. Excellent job big fellah.

A-HA!!!Hello there!!! Glad to finally be able to see you through a decent sized shot, compared to the one in the intro!
Excellent sepia conversion, it suits your mimic, very well! By now we've gotten so used to your sepia postings that I can say in all honesty, that sepia is all about you and the mood created here! :)
Glad you were brave enough to do this! You go, Bri!
Big hug,
Diana

Hombre, es un real bandido... :-)
Is a very good portrait of your avatar. This is a very credible character you've created here. Light is very well directed, and it participates in this aesthetic. The vintage look is very well done.
A very good picture,
Thx for sharing.

It's really a nice photo Brian. I like the shadows and the lighting very much. Would like to see that nice smile that goes with all of your good humor though! Yep, "this uns goin' in my "friends and family" theme!
