Good morning Peeps

An unusual post for me this morning? well expect more of the same this week then.

Yesterday Hans (Greenbaron) and I both posted an image of a Heron and so I threw the gauntlet down last night to see if he could find a similar shot each day this week to post or if it was just one strange coincidence. I will therefor be searching hard through my files to find something completely different to post each day.

So todays image I have made easy for him, knowing his love for and involvement with aircraft.

This is one of the Spitfires based at RAF Coningsby having its teeth cleaned and a last minute brush up before taking off for a short display flight. These aircraft are a credit to the men and women who lovingly care for them as if they were their own. Many of the pilots at Coningsby who fly these old craft are also pilots of the new Typhoon (Euro fighters) quite a contrast for them I would immagine. I had a couple of other shots of this Spitfire taken at a wider angle but I liked this closer crop the best as it shows more detail in the metal panels on the wings and the side of the craft.

Will wait with baited breath to see what Hans comes up with today then lol.

TTFN and thanks for taking a peek at my image today

Kind regards Helen

My All-time favourite fighter plane, Helen, so TFS this proof of the dedication that keeps them shining and flying. I'd give my trigger-finger to fly one! (Yep, I'm "afraid" it's never gonna happen ☺^☺).
Nice PoV, but I think Hans is right about the red hair - cloning it out would improve the picture, and should not really be difficult...
But that's just me nit-picking... TFS!
