Good morning Peeps

So sorry I was late opening the theme yesterday, I really forgot which day it was. I was certain it was Wednesday.

Then to top it all I came to work this morning without my hard drive and the image I had prepared last night to upload this morning.

So I have just done a "Quick Fix" here with another image using paint.net.

This shot was taken a couple of weeks ago from the tope of Tattershall castle which is about 5 mins from my Dad's. I love the setting with the countryside in the distance and the beautiful church. The waterway you can see is the old castle moat and I shall post more images from this castle in due course with further information. I was not really happy with the sky in this shot as it was a grey day and its OE but no software here to deal with that this morning.

The view reminds me of a scene from a Hornby minature railway with all the tiny people.

Got to go for now all in a pickle and late this morning.

TTFN have a great day

regards Smurfie

Nice view Helen - I'll agree with you about the sky. You've caught a serene scene nicely here though. Definately Lincs - not a hill to be seen anywhere..
Cheers
David

:-) this would have been such a great one to shoot with a SND filter! The sky would have had more contrast, causing a better light on the green stuff.
I really do love this view... so typical for the UK. Lots of lush green and old buildings...
All in all the country side looks pretty flat here... nice view!

Cheers,
Anneke

You are eating pickles in the morning?? LOL! I love this, very much like I would imagine a castle, complete with a mote! Nice details Helen and a great posting for the theme!

Attractive scenery,Well comparison of title to this scene,Your POV made me misunderstand that a miniature:-)Love composition of a group on FG that had the terrific and lovely atmosphere,Highly sharpness and depth, well arrangement of light and color too.Good work.TFS.

Hello Helen, your title is very fitting,it really does look like a miniature village.
The people help us to appreciate the scale and add life too.
The old brick house is very attractive.
Good composition.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Very good perspectives Helen considering the height it was taken from. Sky aside good colour and lovely detail. TFS and the themes,
David

Maybe this is the kind of scene they had in mind when they designed the railway sets?
Superb PoV and wonderful colours

Hi Helen,
Really beautiful landscape shot with a very nice composition, exposure and green tones. The buildinds looks splendid. Maybe they are a little bit unbalanced to the left.

HI Helen
The different colors mixed with all this green grass really show off the castle and I like how you got the tip of the tower to show up against the sky
Nice work
Dot

It is a lovely view fron above Helen, the place looks wonderful. Thnk you for this lovely image

Hi Helen,
It does remind me of a Honby train layout, particularly the 'Manse'...what a quaint looking building.
Very nice landscape from that perspective, to me the sky is fine, the scene doesn't need the distraction of dramatic clouds.
Cheers,
Pete.

Hi Helen,
Very nice high view angle shot here..i can see all the details.Beautiful color, almost green..that very nice to look it..
Wonderful done.. really fitted to the theme.

CM

Blame it on the weather ,your green is sooooo.... green, well Helen with all that water coming from Heaven it's no wonder i assume...lol ..Your Pov is sublime , a pity the sky is standard compared with the nicely saturated colors of the grass and you show good details in the stonework , it is a well suited photo for the theme ,
Life in the fast lane Helen ,
Take care ,
Carol

Hello Helen
Via this view of large fresh green acres and the outstanding angle to admire historical buildings, you give me the idea to take gliding lessons and imagine I'm a bird!
Cheers!
