hello Silke,
a typical but beautiful birthday card. These ancient cottages with their thatched roofs and clibing wisteria are enchanting. You have chosen a good POV here and have captured a delightful blue sky.
I am sure Els will be delighted with this, especially as she has a difficult day or two ahead of her.

Hello Silke,

Isn't it wonderful that so many people can celebrate a friend's birthday on sites such as this!

I have a feeling that Els would love to have the cottage as well as the shot! She is a fan of old stone buildings!
You will certainly have sold it to her with these superb details and wonderful light.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

I love these places... they have such a romantic atmosphere!
A great capture Silke... lovely details and colors.

Cheers,

As you probably know I am very fascinated by this type of architecture. Another new 'dream home' for me :) Just waiting for that lottery win. The yard is gorgeous, as are the colors and detail. Thanks!

Hi Silke,

This cottage is simply amazing. Nothing like this in the U.S.! The wisteria is just fabulous in the photo, I can only imagine seeing it live. This is simply charming. I know Els will love it! Lisa :D

a very quintessential portrait of old england.

nicely composed with beautiful colour saturation.

Happy BD Els!
A very nice house to give her as a gift, Silke... did you send her the keys?
LOL.
I too like these stone houses, they tend to blend in nicely with the landscape, don't they?
Beautiful colours all around, a shot that screams out "it's summertime!" ☺^☺

Hello SIlke

This cottage is absolutley deligthful and you have captured it at the perfect time of year with the wysteria in full bloom.

lovely posting its like a picture postcard and I love the framing here and the matching text colour

TFS kind regards Helen

Yes indeed I do, did I tell you, ha, my memorie has been overloaded probably - not to worry, I will get it back soon.

Silke absolutely lovely with the wisteria grwoing on the facade of the house.
And that roof - probably did not tell you that, but I love roofs like this - my sister has a home with a roof like this.

A wonderful picture, from a wonderful woman, who gave me the most surprising birthday present ever - a call from across the ocean to really lift my spirits, just when I was about to callapse from the workload and pressures and feeling like a sack of sand.

Thanks again Silke,

Els

good foto...
spcially the sky colour is amazing

I do love wisteria Silke. A typically English scene, well composed with delightful colour, light and shade,
David

Did I see this before? :-) Great captrure my dear Silke and a fine tribute to the Lady of Veenendaal. Henkie will be thrilled I'm sure for that. Excellent colours, sharpness and contrast. As if I'm back again in Corfe!
