Good morning Peeps

Oh boy I did have some fun with this one, I guess youll either love it or hate it but I can tell you it was fun processing it.

I had an idea of the image I wanted to use and the feel wanted from the shot.

Processing in Photofiltre (Sorry Anneke lol) as follows

Cropped section from original image (Not telling you what that was yet)
Opened a new rectangular canvas and pasted in the cropped section.
Ran a ripple effect on the pasted section.
Ran a frame around the edge of the pasted section.
Infilled with chocolate (no not real chocolate calm down) the outer edges.
Added a noise effect to this infilled section.

This was going to be the end result.. but.. I played with the trapezoid function and got such a superb shape I decided to keep it.

Then infilled with chocolate (NO still not real chocolate) for a second time on the triangular sections.
Lastly framed and resized for upload.

So I think it looks like a hallway with a painting hung..on the floor

My son thinks it looks like a funky indoor swimming pool.

Thats the beauty of abstract.. the viewer can decided what they think.

What do you think? and what do you think the original shot was?

I will use a similar shot from the original for my posting tomorrow.

Have a great day peeps and thanks for viewing

TTFN regards Smurfie

You are very clever with your PP work Helen.
Is it a stained glass window? No, maybe not!
It looks like a very attractive rug I think would look good in my house. Attractive colours and patterns

Hello Helen,

It is lovely. (These colours really work.)
The pp work is skilful and effective.
To me, it looks like a stained glss door panel.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Like you, I had great fun with this one!

Hey Helen

Wonderful photo
Love all the colours
Is it a flower or a butterfly with a background of a buildings behind it.
This is so great

Imaginative and creative, with good pp work to achieve this intriguing composition. Your joke about the painting hung on the floor fits:) If you turn it upside down it looks like a painting hung on the ceiling though! Well done:)

Hello Helen:

Excellent photo, my guess is its a staines glass door, placed like a rug? No matter what it is, you have a beautiful image.

Hi Blondie,
You know this is a brain wave after drinking to much Southern Comfort. So it must be a very familiar view for you :-)\
Sorry for the insult I'm not sober anymore after a short visit of Devon :-)

Hi Helen
At first time I thought in a kitchen sink plenty of water, maybe for the idea of granite.
Whatever it is, you did an splendid work, I love the effect, the abstract shapes, the colors and the borders. Very creative.

Sorry?? for what??
If you like working with Photofilter, by all means, do so! hahahahahahah who am I to tell you otherwise??

I agree with your son. I had a strong feeling of this being some kind of pool....
Anyways... as you know I'm not really a "frame" person, so also in this case...mwa... not really my thing, but it does help to create the feel...
So... all in all I think you did a fun job.
Not quite something to hang on the wall, but I wanna bet you learned something again.
I do love the tones here and the "water" effect.

Cheers girl... and have a great weekend!
Anneke

P.s.: I think the original picture must be some kind of... flower??

hello Smurfie,

i must say i like your presentation.. with the different shade of browns surrounding the abstract things in the middle.. not sure what are there as im not a good guesser.. a lamps? haahaa i don't know. tfs..

A mirror? OH, yes, I hate it. Here it is 2:46 am. I read your note, I am not break my head now. I will go to sleep, and later today (here is the beginning of Friday) and will try to figure it out, is possible, later. Meanwhile, I can say I love the colors and reflections of light on the main object.

Lorena

Beautifully and skillfully done Helen.
Dennis

Very nice graphic effect with warm colours. It is like a water surface. Imaginative and artistic work. Well done !

Hi, Helen -
Great experiment with a fun and interesting result. For some reason I am reminded of the monolith from "2001: A Space Odyssey." A very absorbing optical illusion. Well done.

Hello Helen

A beautiful post
an abstract one as if it was a mirror
of lukewarm reflex! What the really dynamic effect!!
A good pp work. I like the picture in the diagonal form!
Congratulations!

Sérgio

Hi Helen,
Lovely warm colours, the same combination was a favourite of mine when I was working as a signwriter. They work very well together, and your PP work does compliment them.
Hope you're feeling better.
Pete.
