[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was taken at the New Forest Show, they had a Shetland Grand National heat, the winner will ride at Olympia later in the year.
They had three heats with 6 runners in each heat with the first 3 from each heat going into the final, they had to do 2 1/2 laps and jump 4 small brush fences, they were very competative and ran there little hearts out. It was great to watch. My daughter picked the winner in each heat and the one that one the final, think I might take her to the races and see if she can do the same.

What a great shot, Jane. Nice POV - you avoided looking down on these ponies, which is great.
The poor jockey on the bay seems to have lost a stirrup :-O
I like what toucan did in the workshop to lighten the middle tones - give us more detail on the black pony.

A shot full of excitement and movement.
I think the w/s have used different, worthwhile techniques.
I think, also, it would have been an idea to dull the large van behind the riders. It is a big expanse of 'nothingness'.

You seem to have such a happy time with the horses and it shows in your shots.
