Unfortunatly I am not sure what this bird is, it was at the Living Coast in Torquay and I did not see a description board for this one, I can't see it on the website either, all I know is there was quite a few of them and some had young.
Thanks to all who view and comment on my pictures.

I don't know what bird is this . . but doesn't matter . . you did great capturing it . . and I like the composition with giving more space front of the bird . .

Hi Andy,
This image earns more attention than it gets! Great colourful bird impression, excellent sharpness, perfect DOF! The presentation in the smal black-red frame is fine too, but overall it is an superb bird picture in my opinion. Sorry I can't help you with the name of this bird...if it was an aeroplane it would be different :-)

Nice capture of an Inca Tern (Larosterna inca) - good contact with the eye and beautiful details in the plumage.
