Racing at Catterick.
The jockey is walking his horse around the parade ring in order for the punters to have a last minute look at the runners. The owners and trainers will be scattered inside the parade ring. The trainers will already have given the jockeys race instructions.

This horse is wearing blinkers. Not all horses wear blinkers.

For each race, it is at this stage that the best presented horse is decided upon. This award is for the grooms, who love their charges and want them to look and perform at their best. In effect, all dressed up to party and the horses take pride in their appearance.

Very nice picture of that racing horse.
Pity, some half people at the bach of the horse. sniff. haha
