I am so sorry to hear about the fair being camcelled. What a shame,particularly if the committee doesn't have the funds to continue.These shows are so important to the fabric of the community.
Such a vibrant day lily with wonderful warm yellow and lighting.

I feel lifted just looking at this Bev! Gorgeous colors here, really nice sharpness and I love the close crop! It's raining alot here for folks up north. Makes some people sad..this should help them feel better!

Hi Bev,

You already told me, but the implications, that now next year will be impossible, that is really really sad to hear.
That torrential rain showed itself on our daughter's wedding day, the roads turned into white water rivers.....
But as you say, it is best to focus on something as beautiful and sunny as a flower like this one - a lovely crop to really make an impact.

Hello Beverley,
this flower as beautiful as it is, will hardly compensate for the loss of your show and I am sorry to hear about it. Similar conditions prevail in Dumfries and Galloway and Cumbria. The Lowther show was cancelled on Sunday.
But this flower has been beautifully captured and has a lovely warm glow.Perfectly composed and presented too.
