Yes, they are shoes. And this is something different - very still life.
Composition and conversion to B&W have come out well - the one on the right looks as if it is floating.
BRAVO!

Wow... I think this is really great work Helen.
now... I know the light was not it's best, but if you could arrange a bit more light you could turn up the aperture to.... let's say F16...
If you can take the same picture with this aperture I think you'd have even more sharpness...
Providing the light is good enough to set the shutter to 1/250 or 1/125...
F2.8 is quite a large opening, so it will alow much light in, which makes the image a bit unsharp in some areas like in this case the nose and heel of the right shoe.
With a higher aperture you will have it all sharp!
I think it will be real nice to play a bit with the aperture and shutter...
and if you need a slow shutter speed you can always use a tripod! ;-)
Have fun!!!
Cheers,
Anneke

Shoes? Pffffff woman stuff!
Regarding the photo; I observe a weird perspective or weird position of the right shoe. I appears it is floating in the air. The nose of the shoe in this position should be at the same level as the lefty shoe, but it is pointing upwards: how come? :-)
Anyway that is what catches me in this image, without realizing it is a Smurfie's Magic Posting. :-)

HAHA! I could not walk in those! And they would make me 6 feet tall! LOL! This is really nice Smurfie! Excellent details, nice grey BG! Those shoes are so cute! Nice work!

Very simple idea and beautifully carried out!
I love the composition and the details here.
I have an important question: are they comfortable? I rarely wear anything except flats!

Helen Hi:
I like this still life, artwork. It is very original, creative artistic and looks like it should be a poster or painting. We all need to try different ideas and see how the results are greeted by our friends on TL.
Thanks for the note
Congratulatlions, very nicely done, my friend.

Hi Helen,
What I think, I think it is great to try out new things - I think you have small feet - I think you wear high heels - I love the ribbon on them - the natural light brings out enough details in a pleasant way, so no need for nasty flash-reflections here - good thinking to position them this way - seems like this person is always on the run, but still elegant......
In short - like it.
TFS
