[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
taken on the isle of cumbrae last tuesday.
we were killing time waiting for the bust to take us back to the ferry. my wife and i found a secluded spot to eat a very delicious ice cream cone.

shot in colour
converted to b/w in bw styler
used various settings,grad filters,development type,paper type, etc.
when complete bw styler displays the image in cs3. i cropped then used a warm filter which gave the sky the look of a sunset.
framed and signed.

Hi Brian
I like the effect here. The first house on the right looks really smooth against the rough of the rocks at the sea edge. Like the way you have done the sky too.
Hope the ice cream was nice.
So yes, I do like it.

This is beautiful. I like the peaceful mood it conveys. I'm sure the sea can be quite strong here. I like the contrast of textures of the homes and the rocks.

This is a wonderful shot. I like the composition and the POV for this picture. The B&W color with the natural sunset looks great, nice effects.

very good image, great pov, b/w enhances the view, the shallow dof obscures some faraway details, perhaps a longer f/stop (8 or above) may help. good use of the allowed kb size.

Hi Brian,
wonderful picture that is. It reminds me a little of the small town called Ullapool. That was where I spent a couple of nights when I visited Scotland some years ago.
good POV and the effect in the sky is wonderful.
I just love slightly coloured pictures like this. Did you clone out something on the water, though? It looks like it.
