[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot was taken in a ruin of a castle somewhere in the Yorkshire Dales in the United Kingdom.
Some other visitors were very nice as they waited for me to take this shot and then passed through the several doors.
The doors connected some cellars and inner courtyards.

PP: adjusted contrast, brightness, saturation slightly, rotated the image a bit to get it straight.

I hope it is not too late to add it to Helen's theme.
Thanks for having a look at it. Regards, Britta

P.s: ok, it is too late to add it to the theme... But nonetheless I like to share this shot. B.

P.p.s: I don't know who added this shot to the theme I wanted it to be added to or how this was possible as I couldn't enter it - thank you very much, whoever you are. B.

Hello Britta,

This fits the theme perfectly.
You have recorded extremely good details of the stonework. I like how the ever decreasing archways channel our eyes forwards and the open gate is an invitation to enter, that we cannot refuse.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

hi britta,

very good image, i like the way there is frames within the frame, its a pity the last doorway isn't lined up. good details and textures. the colours are natural and gritty. good light control inside/outside.

regards c.d.

It is a beautiful shot, I like much this atmopshère more or less mysterious.
this open grid leaves the free place to imaginary.
It is well drunk. I have make a WS by privileging this opened grid, I hope that you will like it.

Cheers,
Daisy

Hello Britta

A really excellent shot here, good natural framing with the arches and nice detailing in the brickwork. The pathway through the gates really draws the viewer deeping into the scene.

TFS and for joining in the theme

kind regards Helen

P.S. I keep an eye on the gallery and so long as a shot has the correct title I add any in that were missed at time of posting
