Good afternoon Peeps

Late uploading today, going to be very busy in the up coming weeks getting the house sorted and packed up.

Yes indeed today is another picture of Shaden my beloved chocolate labrador.

I love this one as it shows off his distunguished grey beard to perfection.

The lump of fluff behind him on the right is Bramble my cat rolling about on the floor, Luckily I had the DOF set right so she is out of focus and not stealing Shadens lime light.

I consider myself very lucky to still have this dog. He was diagnosed with hip displaysia at a very young age.. He is now over ten years old but when first diagnosed the vet told me he was so severe it was unlike he would make it past the age of six.

Well I have to keep him on a very strict diet and keep him dry and warm at all times, I also have to regulate his excerise as too much will make his hips seize up.. but I am happy to report he is still going strong and lovely as ever. You couldn't want for a more perfect companion he is truly wonderful.

Got go fly for now..stepladder out next and up into the depths of the loft to sort more rubbish... I hope the spiders have all gone away for a summer holiday!!!

TTFN and thanks for the visit

regards Helen

Hi Helen,
You could catch a very interesting moment of this dog :). Sharpness and colours of your photo are perfect, excellent focus on the subject and a nicely blurred background. I like the frame around the image, too. Interesting note to accompany with. TFS.
Kind regards,
Kristof

Hello Helen,

I like very much the focus on the dog's head!
The sharpness and colors are great and the frame is perfect in my opinion. Very good the blurred BG.

It's a very well done job!

Congratulations and TFS,
Sergio

So, you HAVE sold?
This is a beautiful expression on Shaden's face - if he could purr, this is the time!! He looks so lovingly and trustingly at you Helen - it is lovely to see.
Cherish him

Hi Helen, another great shot of your very nice dog, excellent composition and dof with the head only in focus which brings it out as do the sharpness and details

Hello Helen
Your lab is just beautiful.. With his distinguished greying beard! ;) looks like his is wondering WHY does she have that camera out AGAIN! ;)

Tricia

Lovely pet portrait - you get a huge sense of the character of the dog. Excellent DOF and sharp details. And extra points for keeping a labrador on a strict diet - not the easiest thing to do!
Thanks for sharing
Mark

Hi Helen. You have one beautiful friend. F/2.8 is perfect as you have nicely sharpened the suject's face and blurred the uninteresting background. I normally don't like pet shots but this is an exception. Thanks for sharing.

Bonjour Helen,

Hi Helen, he's a lovely dog, I always liked Labradors of any colour, they are so intelligent and faithful. Nice capture with great DOF.
Best regards, Les P.S. Don't worry about the spiders, they are harmless, get the macro out and try and capture one!
