[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
this is a deactivated colt45 bullet. it has no firing mechanism as it is used as decoration on one of my gun belts. therefore, it is totally harmless.

excerpt from wiki..
'The .45 Colt cartridge was a joint development between Colt's Patent Firearms Manufacturing Company, of Hartford, Connecticut, and the Union Metallic Cartridge Company of Bridgeport, Conn. Colt began work on the revolver in 1871, and submitted a sample to the U.S. Army in late 1872. The revolver was accepted for purchase in 1873. The cartridge was of outside lubricated type, but eliminated the rebated heel type bullet, often attributed to a Russian designer.'

Hello Brian

Love this one! great angle on the bullet with good lighting and excellent DOF. Your tones work very well with this image and the black framing enhances the shto nicely. Interesting notes too.

A very controversial subject!
However, as a photograph -- this is terrific
Superb PoV and composition and fine PP work once again

Brian,
Sure, nothing screams "don't shoot me" like a gun pointed at you.
We NEED to use them as deterrents to keep from being shot!
It's too late to change who has guns and who hasn't.
We live in a cold world, and it's getting colder!
I like the way you positioned this bullet in the frame.
I am not sure about the border (on any photo, not just this one).
If I were to suggest anything different, I'd say include more of the shadow in the front, gives us a complete feeling! Or possibly rotate the bullet so the word "colt" is in the light.
At any rate, good work here....

Scott

Hi Bri...my only thoughts would be a slightly lower POV and angle the bullet slightly more across the frame. Just an alternative, not an improvement.

Again your unique style stands out and I envy you. Not only in the style of the images you present, but the subject matter - you have a great talent for turning objects into works of art, a great eye for the shot. Nice note as well!

Hi Brian,
This is a great shot of th 45 shell. I like the B&W color and the use of DOF in this shot. Nice detail on the rim. I like the creative presentation. Nice work.
Regards,
Kevin

the close up of the bullet makes a great photo. The bottom of the bullet is so clear that you can read it.
