Thought you'd left? As per your self congratulatory image/note some time ago?
Anyway, this has the feel of a 'point and shoot, hope for the best' paparazzi shot and the look on the subject's face seems to be saying "don't take my photo", it's a look of annoyance.
The face is very central, the eyes are not too sharp and cropping from the bottom and right might help the composition. It's a shame you don't allow workshops because there are some good portrait photographers on TL from whom you could learn a lot. And, after all, this is a learning site.

Hello Magda.
Excellent close up portrait of Timmy.
His second name is like mine (Laurentius) second christian name.
So He must be a good guy too. haha

Lovely capture of the moment, Magda, as he was in mid-flow chatting. You did a great job as the official photographer at the event. Perfect sharpness and a natural well balanced composition.
As you say Tim Laurence is a charming gentleman and he was the perfect host at lunch in the All England Lawn Tennis Association Members lounge. I was rather pleased he asked me to sit next to him and we had a lovely chat.

Hi Magda,
I am not sure about the sly look to this one, the eyes are not sharp, you have a great DOF though making him stand out well.

I looked at this shot and with my best Richard Wilson head on I said out loud "I don't believe it" but it must be true ;~)

Interesting subject. The composition and the crop works well. Too bad he is out of focus.

Hmmm...I like how this composition takes you UP to his eyes, where he uses the brim of his hat to guard his gaze a bit. What a sense of standing right there in front of him with your camera aimed at his face! He seems tolerant enough:) Good work!

Hello Magda, this is a very fine portrait of the gent.
The white balance is perfect, the dark navy blue is perfect, doesn't look black on my digital monitor, just the right colours.
Also about the "unsharpness" of the face or the "softness", it is perfect as a portrait must be: a little soft! No body want to see sharpness applied as to an object. Every good photographer knows that and you know it.
The shadow under his brim is just ok so the contratst is not to large and we see very well his eyes.
Very well done and it doesn't look like a snaphot.
Cheers! Yan
