Hi Steve, nice shot of the Hover Fly, great colours.
Could I make some suggestions, maybe some cropping with the subject towards the left, I think there is to much space around it, and a bit sharper.

good composition, perhaps could have been a touch closer. your colours and details are good but could be sharper. i have attempted a ws, hope this is agreeable.

ps. i think this is a male hoverfly as the eyes meet in the middle, like sunglasses, females have separate eyes on either side of the head, more useless information lol.
