New Years Eve and I was at my friend Janes' house in Scotland. It was colder than anything and we were all converged in the kitchen,as the AGA keeps the kitchen so warm. The goose was in the oven, Jane had finally finished up with the horses and we were ready to celebrate the beginning of a new year.
I glanced out the window, noticed the sun going down and thought-right, I need to document this wonderful gathering of souls.

PP work
An experiment and not sure if it works or not--shooting the sunset thru a less than clean window. My friend, Jackie is really not convinced.
The actual window frame is crooked. I tried straightening several ways and this is the lesser of 2 evils.

Bonjour Joni,

Un bien surprenant lever de soleil!!!
Les tons roses agrémentent joliment ce cliché, c'est bucolique à souhait!!!
Amitiés
Odile :)

Good framing of the frame Joni. This is not an easy shot because the subject will confuse the focusing element in the camera. You have achieved it very well with the glow just enough to avoid overexposure. Very good tall frame choice and thanks for sharing. Jusni

Hi Joni,
That is a lovely view from a window congrats. The window may not be the cleanest but the image is better for it keep them coming.

I like the homey warm feel this photo conveys. Your experiment is succesful! This photo makes it more interesting than a straight on shot of sunset.
