Hello everyone, here we are in the grounds of Cragside, looking down on a footbridge that joined the two sides of the valley of Debdon Burn.

Unfortunately the bridge is out of use for safety reasons. If you look carefully, you can see the gate that prevents us from crossing over.

There is a small bridge just a little further up-stream, but out of view of this shot.

This is just a very small part of the extensive grounds that are Cragside.
If you cross the river and follow the path, you eventually reach the more formal gardens which contrast beautifully with the rockery and natural forest that are all part of Cragside.
Thank goodness that we have the National Trust who own properties such as this.

I liked the elegant, curved shapes of the metal work.

The people on the path, give a good idea of scale.

Thanks for looking, have a good wekend.

Hi Jean,
Great shot, you had a good POV to capture the details in the bridge, this looks another great place to visit, you have some nice shades of green in the trees, isn't it a shame that you can't use the camera inside some of the NT buildings to capture some of the details, especially the ceilings in some.
Well done
Regards Andy

O, Jean! Briges are my old passion! It is one of the most beautiful constructions in our world, isn't it? Strong and elegantly:)

Very beautiful once again, I love the pp work, and the couple are a nice addition. This place looks gorgeous! Love the trees!! TFS and have a great day!

I like the way that the bridge contrasts so much with the scenery it's it - the shapes and colours really stand out against the trees and the widning path below. You've used a good POV to make this an interesting shot.
Thanks for sharing

Hi Jean

Very good capture of this elegant bridge, much nicer than a lot of the concrete structures that you see nowadays.
Like your POV and composition.

Hello Jean
Stunning image and great point of view. You're right, those people give a good idea of the pitch. You chose a perfect diagonal composition. Lovely deep green forest with mature trees, nice little river with waterfalls and rapids and as you say,the curve of the arches is very elegant. Do I see a man at the other end of the bridge?
Nicely done
Serge

hello Jean

You really found a nice POV to capture this angle of the bridge in diagonal and crossing just above the 2 people below which makes it much more interesting to show scale of dimension to this scene.

I like the greenery of this place. tfs
