Hi Everyone,

whilst chatting to a friend recently about interesting places to shoot at, he mentioned a place he had stumbled across whilst out walking in the Dorset Countryside near Blandford, but couldn't remember how to get there or where exactly it was.
So yesterday i took it upon myself to try and find it. After wandering aimlessly along the banks of the Stour for an hour or so, i finally stumbled across this wier. As usual the summer sun disappeared just as i got there and i was left with a scene of washed out sky and flat light.
So i thought i'd just focus on a section of it instead, and set the aperture as small as i could and add some filters to get as long exposure as possible. When i got home i put it through Photomatix and gave it the HDR treatment - hope you like it.

Thanks for looking..

Hi Paul,

I like this one, the effect of small aperture works here very well. The POV and composition is also great. Nicely presented with the black frame. Well done.

TFS...Buddy

Hello Paul,
vey interesting place indeed, you have managed something very nice with the poor light. I still sont understand what is that HDR tho... I have to do some research cose it seems to make some great effects!

Lovely work Paul, perfect exposure and nice composition.

Regards Mark :)

Beautiful processing Paul, great water effect.
I maybe would have either went tighter to not have that little bit at the very top, or wider to include more of it.
The amount here is a little distracting?
Anyway, The overall image is stellar and well done. TFS.
