a secret ballet

one thing you'll need to add to your kit bag - a magic flute - and, to be honest, i'm not sure where you can get one these days.

even then it's all a a bit too much like wildlife photography for my tastes. several hours crouched in the rain by the river bank. waiting for just the right moment to strike up just the right tune, but, you never know, you could be lucky!

Hi colin
This is great - truly something different - the focus of the trunk is excellent and I love the soft effect of the water behind it. Looks like a truly magical place....see any fairies?
Lovely composition and pov
i can see the f/stop and shutter settings - did you use anthing else to help with this effect? Highest f/stop i get is 8!
Cheers
Linzi

I like a lot the square composition and I of course admire your patience to wait for the glimpse of the sun on a rainy day.

Hi Colin,
Very artistic shot!
Not a simple shot, rather a splendid artwork!
I like the tight crop, the fluidity of colors on the wave and the acuity on the branch. The format is perfect for the walls of your future exhibition gallery !!
Bravo! Annie

Hi Colin,

In the thumbnail I could't
figure out what this was!
I like what you did here--it's
creative and original. I like
the effect on the water, and the
sharpness of the other 'elements'.
Well done! ;)

'Lo Colin,

Your magic flute seems to be your fabulous crops (in most of your shots). Really does the trick! Tune sounds good =) Lovely lighting.

Cheers,

Natalia
