Mellow Yellow Tigermoth

Well this is my contribution to the todays FFT of Smurfie; "Mellow Yellow".
An "artist impression" of the good old Togermoth aircraft a fine photogenic airplane.

In this impression I selected the aircraft in an oval area, inverted the selection and blurred the background with Gausian blur. Thwe edge of the oval I smudged to get rid of the sharp border, used noisy filter to get rid of minor noise, increased the contrast a bit, resized and sharpened.

Hi Hans,

It's your expertise capturing flying object . .
I don't know much about antique plane . . but I love watching it . . rarely conducted in Indonesia . . only at certain occasion . .
Great work my friend . .

Tfs,
Tjutjut

How awesome Hansie! We both post "vehicles" today! The Yellow Baron eh? Hope he is as nice an handsome as you are! A little pixelated around the edges on this shot, not your usual skill, but still a cool shot!

Fantastic idea, Hans!
(Wish I'd thought of it -- I have a few from the airshow this past Monday)
The PP work here is superb, really makes the plane seem a bit sharper and I love the gentleness in the image now

Hi Hans,
Yes, I remember these from my younger days. It is amazing that so many Tigermoths are still flying. Nice capture.

Ja, das nou het echte vliegwerk, Hans.
Toch eens kijken of die niet op Seppe of Woendrecht staan om een rondje met mee te vliegen.
prachtig plaatje, lijkt wel een schaalmodel.
Groeten van Jan

I had absolutely no doubts that the "greenbaron" would find and post a yellow plane! This is really a neat looking one at that.

I think your frame is very creative too. The border kind of reminds me of clouds in a way.

thanks for sharing, Lisa

Hi Hans, You have many wonderful flying machines in your gallery and this is an excellent addition. I like the clarity and colours as well as the cloudy effect around the margin. TFS. Murray.

simply nice! just curious how far you were from this plane.
nice colors. good addition to this week's theme. TFS

Hans - a good contribution to the mellow yellow theme and a step back in time from the normal higher tech planes. Colours in the plane contrast well against the sky but the details in the plane are soft and a little blurred. With the PP work you've done on this shot it would be interesting to see the original to see if the blurry details are a result of the PP work or just part of the original shot.
Thanks for sharing
Mark
