Beautiful Gruinard Bay in Wester Ross, we climbed a little hill to get a good view of the wonderful beaches and turquoise sea. My son rolled the boulder into a good position for the photo, only kidding! a little contrast and saturation were added, I loved my Fuji Velvia

WOw your son is strong Douglas! I get the feeling that the photo is tilted, but I'm so blown away by the quality that I'll give you a pass this time! LOL!.. (lucky you)....the water to the left tells me it's off...but how to do a WS? I will try..... just for fun.... This is MARVELOUS...LOVE the boulder as the focal point here! Marvelous! from #1 groupie

An amazing shot Douglas. Great clearity, colors and a lovely composition.
I do get the feeling it's a bit tilting to the left, but I know that sometimes looks deceiving with mountain/water shots.
A real great view!!

Cheers,
Anneke

Beautiful landscape shot which has it all - well saturated colours, foreground interest, sharp details, an interesting sky and a great overall composition. Great stuff!
Thanks for sharing

Hi Douglas

What a beautiful composition! The scenery is simply stunning and the colours here are so crisp. Did you shoot this in RAW, or did an HDR?

Very sharp. Good details.
You did a great job with contrast and saturation. Well done

Congratulations

Hi Douglas - an excellent example of why Scotland is the most beautiful country on the planet ;-)

The rock in the forground makes a great focal point and adds depth and perspective to the overall shot. A great lesson for anyone interested in landscape photography - such a foreground feature more often than not helps to make the shot.
