Leaving for Zürich

Hi folks, the next five weeks I will not be so active on TL as you are used from GB. In a few hours I will leave for Zürich (Switzerland).

My company will start in November this year to operate a new aircraft; the Embraer E190 jet and I was asked to go to Zürich for a technical training on this E190 jet. So I'm back to school again :-)

Anyway, I took this shot above Scotland last month while I visited Aberdeen. The area shown is between Aberdeen and Inverness, the aircraft flow is the Dash 8 Q400 from Flybe.

Well I hope you enjoy the view.

And kids: don’t fight when I’m away :-)

PP-work: adjusted the brightness.

N.B. Last week I flew several times to Maastricht (South of the Netherlands) and took some shots out of the cabin window. In the WS you'll find an evening impression while flying from Maastricht to Amsterdam.

Dear Hans,
I am going to Zurich now.
Interesting.
TFS
Have a fantastic sunday

Nice aerial shot Hans... Vertical format works well here, and the colours of the fields and sky are just right..

Never flew the Dash 8, although the ATR42 and 72 were good fun..

Cheers
DAvid

Good job done.
groeten,
Joop!

Hi Hans. Excellent shot. Having tried to take shots out of a Aircraft window I fully appreciate the difficulties of taking a shot like this, good work. Thanks for sharing, have a good trip.

Regards Phil.

P.S. Next time we fly KLM could you arrange for us to sit next to a window that is not badly scratched ;~)

Don't fly to hight:)
Groetjes,
Frieda.

Hi Han, I like aerial photos and this is a fine one with fluffy clouds and interesting notes. The clarity of the patchwork of fields below is excellent, sharper than when i have tried this sort of shot. TFS. Murray.

You have done alot of really great photography from the air!! Once again I am impressed! I am also VERY jealous that you're off to Switzerland, I have dreamed of travelling there MY WHOLE LIFE!! I will look forward to future shots from there. TFS and have a great time!

Hiya Hansie

Oh wow this is a creaking shot my friend. Nice and sharp with so much to see, close up of the engine and blades rotating. Lovely fluffy clouds and the lush fields below. Your very lucky to have the opportunity to take such vivid action shots my friend. Dont work too hard now.. but more importantly dont go out without your camera :-)

TFS regards Smurfie

Hi Hans,
Beautiful capture,good composition.
Best regards,
Ralf

hello Hans

I am guessing where you were seated from this POV (under the landing gear? LOL). A propeller (partly frozen in action from your 1/500s) driven plane to get a superb aerial view of farm land in Scotland, well that is really a nice way to fly!

I hope you are not falling asleep in class, in case you skipped 1-2 chapter of safety technicalities on the new aircraft - we might be flying in them soon?

But I am sure you will enjoy Zurich and photography more than we can imagine. Have fun. tfs
