I was trying to take a macro shot of this garden spider when the cat walked into the bottom of the shot! Horror movie in the making.
Garden spider (Araneus diadematus)is one of the most common spiders in the northern hemisphere but beautiful none the less. Approximate size female 10-18mm, males 4-8mm.
Scardey cats - most common when approached by large spiders :-) |

A very fine macro shot, wonderful detail and nice and sharp.
It looks like it is going to swing down on the cat!
A great shot,very well done.

The photo and the note are both very nice Jax, the spider is sharp and clear! My compliments!
Like the details on the spider and the blurry black cat. It also looks a bit like the shadow of a bird (left ear being the beak).
