thanks Helen you left me no choice but to take a shot of a rather boring back alley having chose the wrong direction. so i did a bit of artistic license here and found a beach scene of this little boy paddling in the sea hope you don't mind me breaking the rules. we have had recent flooding in the county so it is quite apt to simulate a flooded road. so after lots of careful cloning and erasing work on layers this is the effect. i find it rather disturbing so it would be interesting to see how others see it.

Hi Sue,

I don't see anything disturbing, just a young dad with his child making the most of a flooded street. Our street floods as soon as there is a heavy rainshower and there has been an incident that I just removed my shoes and carried the grandchildren inside.
Love the sheltered feeling of the alley and the bubbles in the water.
Of course real flooding, when waterlevels rise inside house is most terrible.

sue, this is a timely and cherish capture of a father and son playing. your lighting is great and colors as well. like the bricks that sorrounded the alley. TFS.

Hi Sue, very clever PP work - I'm impressed.
The man and child look like they are supposed to be there.
Well done

Hi Sue

Your PP work is flawless, really looks like this was taken in a flooded street.
Well done.

Hi Sue
I would never have guessed that they were not in the alley!

Excellent pp work Sue - I'm no good with layers!! But you've come up trumps here.I'd maybe 'burn' the man's shirt and skin a little as it looks a little over-exposed compared to the rest of the scene.Anyway - great job, clever photo...DAvid

Hi Sue
The PP work is amazing. I was totally fooled until I read your notes - simply looks like a water covered path. Welllllll at least the alley is with in 5 minutes.

Dan

Hello Sue, I really like this shot and you have done a great job with your PP work. Your lighting on the two scenes matches very well. Also like the curvature of the brick wall. Well done!!

Hello Sue,

I must apologise for the tardiness of this comment. I tried repeatedly to post it yesterday and eventually put it on the desktop to try again later. Then, on returning, forgot about it!

Well here it is, at last!

Hello Sue,

You've made a strong point about the rain in the U.K. this year! What clever pp work! I would certainly have believed that the little boy and his father were paddling in the lane!

You pov is good, using the lane to lead us through the shot. Good details.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)
