Hi everyone
This is a pick of an Australian Finch which i think is a Gouldian finch. Please correct me if I am wrong. (the pics I have seen on the net they have a purple breast but this one is white?)
anyway...if it is:
"The Gouldian Finch, Erythrura gouldiae (or Chloebia gouldiae), also known as the Lady Gouldian Finch, Gould's Finch or Rainbow Finch , is a colourful passerine bird endemic to Australia. There is strong evidence of a continuing decline, even at the best-known site near Katherine in the Northern Territory. It is bred in captivity, but is an endangered species, with less than 2,500 left in the wild. It is subject to a conservation program." (wikipedia.org)

Hi Linzi
Superb capture of this finch.
The colours are very natural looking.
Strange looking bird almost like it does not have a head.
TFS

Hi Linzi,
Great shot with good colours and details, I like the desaturated background.
Well done
