In the Fields of Barley

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| This is my youngest daughter, who is not too keen on being photographed by me these days. We were out for a walk in the fields next to our home during a break in what had been terrible weather. It was evening and the light was starting to fade. I took two or three shots without her noticing. The shutter on the D70 is fairly quiet. I changed the image to black and white in photoshop and then adjusted the colour balance to give a slight sepia look. I then finished it off with a touch of USM. |

Superb compo and the sipmlicity is enhanced by the b&w conversion. It also appeals to me because I enjoy photography that depict solitude.
Gordon,
Great composition. Love the way the lines of her shoulders and the row in the field keep your eye in the photo.
Regards
Dennis
Long time no see Gordon.
Classical composition that really suits the black and white treatment.
Hope Caroline is keeping well :-)

Hi Gordon,
Lovely image, the sepia works perfectly, lovely lines and your daughter is positioned perfectly.

very good composition Gordon...and the use of soft coloration accents the feeling of peacefulness of this photo
