NIGHT FALLS ON CHARLESTOWN
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
On Sunday, we arrived in Charlestown, just past St Austell in Cornwall.
It is a charming harbour village, built between 1790 and 1810 by local landowner Charles Rashleigh (hence the name!).
All through the nineteenth century, it was very busy and the warehouses were thriving with different businesses: boat building, lime burning, rope making, brickworks, net braiding and pilchard curing.
Today they brought in a famous collection of old ships which are used in film projects all over the world (like the Pirate of The Caribbeans) - they have brought work and life to the quays and harbour buildings and attract many visitors.
After many images and exploring we had a lovely meal at The Harbourside, and on our way back to the parking yard, I looked back one more time, this is what I saw...
Thanx for your visits, M, (*_*) |

Hallo Magda,
Luc.
