[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These mini pansies or violas, planted in a large teal ceramic planter are just so gay and festive and bloom non stop throughout the summer. The violas are an untidy lot and just spread out throughout the pot.

Violas really continue to bloom if the old flowers are dead headed and the soil is frequently fertilized. As you can see there are quite a few flowers here which do need to be dead headed. These pansies are part of my friend Lynda's courtyard garden.

In Ireland, pansies and primulas bloom throughout the winter and provide much needed brightness to rain and more rain.

Hello Joni

A very nice shot here, well balanced with good sharp detail and colour saturation. The angle is very good and we are clearly looking down the side of the pot here.
