Good morning peeps

I took this shot when visiting a fish and pet store back in june. It is shot through glass so I am sorry about the reflection top left. My main reason for taking this shot was the sad face.. poor thing it just floated there looking at me and it struck me that because of the set of the jaw i dont think fish ever smile.

Ugly and yet in a strange way also very beautiful.

TTFN and many thanks for the visit.

kind regards Smurfie

Hi Smurfie,
So a dismal fish this time? :-) Well observed, indeed a pity there is some nasty reflection visible. Made a WS to get rid of it and made also some other adjustments like contrast and saturation. Not that this is a poor picture, but just to show the difference. Anyway I like this posting of today from you.
Take care!
Hans

I nearly posted the same fish today Helen - and just as well I didn't!! Yours is MUCH bigger and sharper than mine!!
Very good shot through the glass - I'm impressed - and ignore the reflections!!
He is certainly a strange looking creature,

Hello Helen,
Wonderful colors and details of a lovely fish.
Shot of an aquarium fish is a trouble thing, I sure.
Note: I've done a WS for you, and hope you like it. An alternative taste.

good sharpness for 1/60, a bit noisy, reflection in top left isn't disturbing too much, i like the title, the crop, and the "serious face" of this fish

An incredibly SHARP and clear shot here Helen and it begs you to come closer... Is this guy poisonous? No kissy face here! LOL! Nice work on this, very nice clarity!

A good capture - getting sharp details and well saturated colours from an aquarium shot is never easy. I like the way the fish fills the frame, and the expression on its face definately draws the eye in.
Thanks for sharing
Mark

Hello Helen, it's really not easy to shoot fishes in aquariums but you've done great, the light and colors are awesome, thanks!

Bom dia Helen
Sharp capture not easy to do on that conditions.
