Getting Steamed Up

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
From the Exbury Gardens website:-
"The Exbury Gardens steam railway follows a one and a quarter mile circular route and is a wonderful way see the gardens.
This locomotive "Rosemary", was built in 2002, and is named after the eldest daughter of Lionel Nathan de Rothschild, who was the man whose inspiration created Exbury Gardens. It was his vision, his dedication and his resources which have created one of the finest woodland gardens in the country".
As the railway is only recently built it does not seem to show up in Google Earth.

Hello Peter, I can almost smell the smoke!
A lovely shot of the engine. The steam and the smoke give the shot so much atmosphere.I like that we have to peer through the smoke to see the driver.
It looks like a very bright day,not too easy to manage the light?
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hello, Peter.
What a lovely little gem of a locomotive! Great colours with good contrasts and yet preserving all detail in both the brightest parts and the darkest shadows. As Jean says, the smoke and steam add to the atmosphere (literally!) and you have done very well to manage what look like very harsh lighting conditions.
I enjoyed looking at your link to the Exbury Gardens website but was disappointed in the quality of the pictures on that site. The same, I seem to remember, was the case when you provided a link to the website of an inn - the quality of the images on that site were pretty poor also. Perhaps these people should commission yourself to take pictures for their websites and brochures!
Kind Regards,
John.
Hi Peter,
Very good capture, lovley locomotive, good light and composition.
