[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Was not too sure of this photo when I originally uploaded it. One of the suggestions I received was to try an HDR image of this. Had never tried HDR before but have recently purchased Photomatix and been playing around with it.

Created two copies of the image by changing the exposure compensation one at +2 and one at –2.
Created the HDR image by merging the 3 images.
Cropped the image (slightly differently this time).
Resized for TL.
High Pass Sharpen.

Would appreciate your thoughts, does this now look over processed?

Derek,

Q: "does this now look over processed?"
A: Yes. (assuming you want it to look "real")

With HDR it might be a good rule of thumb to ask "Does it look like an HDR image?" If the answer is "yes" it's probably time to start again.
Plus - I'm not too sure that HDR can work effectively from a single exposure.

Plus - that's the wrong Fourth Bridge!!!! ;)

The crop works well with the scene Derek. Excellent work with the HDR technique, good colour and detail achieved in the processing. Definitely not overprocessed and looking quite natural. Have you used the HDR in PSP X2 at all?
David

Hello Derek. Good HDR image, not "overcooked" as many of the HDR images are. Good colours in the moody sky. We like it. Thanks for sharing.

Regards Phil.
