this is from the conservation area near my house. it is the home of some very elusive deer. they are very timid creatures and do not show themselves too often.

as you can see i did not manage to spot them this day.
better luck next time.

pp.....
convert to bw and use partial gold filter.

this pic was taken on the 11th of May this year.
i converted it to gold as the colour version was not as dramatic as i had intended.

ps.maybe the left down corner is a bit disturbing

Hi Brian,
This is a wonderful Fall picture. I love the detail in the trees and the long dried grass. Looks like a nice habitat for deer. Nice work.
Regards,
Kevin

Nice contrasts here my friend, love your new style of shooting, nice details, maybe a tad TOO sharp, but maybe it's my eyeballs! I agree with Vlad, I would have cloned out stick at left hand lower corner..just because I'm a sicko obsessed person.... remember when the teacher would erase the chalkboard, but leave one little TIC up there?? Did it drive you insane??? Me too!
B-)

this definitely is dramatic now..the gold filter has done wonders...

PS: would like to know more about the gold filter

Hello Brian, I like the pp work here.
At first I thought it was the natural shades of autumn.
Good sharpness and good composition.
Pity about the deer,I can't see them either!
Tfs, regards Jean.

Brian,
Usually I don't really like pics like this, simply because they are too crowded with "things".
With this however you managed to create peace and quiet.
Probably due to the gold filter you used on it.
So even though this is also a crowded picture I really like it.

Mind you, I really love places like this... to wander about and take (detailed) pics... these are the great places!

Cheers,
Anneke
