| These hills are the remainder of a very old volcano and were used as the site for a Roman Stronghold some 2000 years ago. This was also the favourite view of the notable Scottish author, Sir Walter Scott. This was a straight forward shot taken mid-morning, cropped in Photoshop and uploaded. |

Hello Gordon,
Excellent exposure - just with the light at the right angle to catch the details of the trees to the right of the clearing. Feels very un-digital, and all the better for that.

Caught the light perfectly Gordon. Classical composition for this shot although I believe there are some people out there who don't like to see centrally sited hills :-)
Great detail in the shot too quite amazing for an ailing D70 :-)
