Moonlighting at Kimmeridge late one evening long after the sun had gone down. It was a beautiful warm summers night, so I stayed out on the rocks watching the moon rise over Clavells Tower. The camera was securely mounted on a tripod as shooting in the dark meant long long exposures, and an infra-red remote shutter release used to ensure total stability. Isn't 30 seconds a long time when you are sat out on a rock at night!

A beautiful silent image - the click of the camera the only sound to be heard.

Hi Miles,
So smooth, love the starlike glow on the moon, and the blues are quite pleasing to view. A classic composition. My compliments...Danilo

Hi Miles,

I love the reflections on the foreground, nice halo round the sun.
The warmth and the blue work really well.

Hi Miles,
Great shot and well worth staying out in the cold for, The effect of the long exposure on the moon is good and the details are great considering the low light, interesting to see that you used an ND filter too.
Well done
Regards Andy

What a brilliant moonlit night it looks, Miles. The moon-shine on the water and rocks is so good.
I like your long exposure time - excellent results
