I'm sending you a postcard from Annan just to say hello, sorry I have not been on site much recently, I'm still around. I will try to catch up with what you have all been posting.
This is a view of Annan town which is situated about seven miles from the famouus Gretna Green. The beautiful river Annan is a salmon river and a favourite place of mine to walk.

Yes Bev,

I can see why this is a favourite place to go for a walk.
Haven't thought of Gretna Green, but in our teenage years there was a lot of talking about that town. Never have seen pictures from there though - is it a photogenic kind of place as well?

Hi Bev,
This is a nice shot looking towards Annan. It is a town I don't think I have visited but your postcard makes it appealing. The colours are great and sharp,IMHO. Well done and tfs.

Hi Bev

This theme has been quite interesting, never realised that Annan was so close to Gretna.
Nice composition with the town in the background.

Hello Bev,

A lovely view to promote this part of Bonnie Scotland. The pov is well chosen to giving an interesting angled f/g and then using the river to lead the eye deeper.
The church spire makes a good focal point and contrasts beautifully with the pale blue of the sky.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello, Bev.

A fine country scene which I am sorry to say, I have never actually seen: I feel terrible in that every time I have been in Annan, it has just been "passing through" on the way to Dumfries. What a shame.

This picture makes me want to come and visit - and that, I suppose, is what a postcard is meant to do!

Very nice!

Kind Regards,

John.
