I am not so sure if my effort this weeks theme pays of or not but I hope so. This is a crop from a shot taken above Meggat I will try load the original in workshop so you can compare.

HI Jon
This looks very much like the asphalt ( black top ) of the roads when we get just a bit of rain and then it freezes over, it is then called black ice.
You pp paid off as you got good texture and for me it looks cold and slippery.

Now that was a sever crop to get to the snow. It sure meets the Friday Theme goals. The steaks give a bit of a design to the image.
