The Guy Fawkes Nebula
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I had to use my all my resources to acquire this shot.
After booking my place on one of the test flights of Spaceship 1 part of the Virgin galactic fleet owned by my good friend Mr Richard Branson it was then only a matter of making sure my good old 5D was up to the task ahead.
With special adaptor rings we set of on the shortish flight to rendezvous with the ageing Hubble space telescope. then after an enthralling space walk and carefully attaching the camera body to the adaptor port on the left hand side of Hubble. Then with the aid of a 3m rope and thruster packs swivelled the telescope into place so it was carefully lined up with the newly found nebula over 60 million light years away
All in all 32 shots where acquired using the telescopes 58 metre focal length lens and I am proud to give you this the first public showing of the Guy Fawkes Nebula |

I always wondered if you were on another planet M8! Actually a very good fireworks (oops I mean nebula) shot and I'm still jealous you have a 5D.
